City youngster set for move back home

Sky Sports understand that Barcelona are in advanced talks with Manchester City over youngster Joan Angel Roman. The 19-year-old midfielder moved to England three years ago when he left Espanyol in a deal worth £1million, following a recommendation from City's Pablo Zabaleta - who spotted his potential during his own time with the club. But Roman has yet to break into City's first-team squad and Barcelona are now looking to take him back to Catalunya. Barca sources have confirmed to Sky Sports that talks are at an 'advanced' stage between the two clubs. The Catalan giants are looking to sign Roman and place him in their B squad. It is believed new coach Tito Vilanova has prompted the move as he knows him well having seen him progress as a youngster.
