Aitor Karanka says Middlesbrough should have won after Leicester draw

Middlesbrough heac coach Aitor Karanka said his side 'should have won' after they were pegged back to a 2-2 draw with Leicester.
The King Power Stadium's visitors led twice - both goals coming from Alvaro Negredo - and went ahead in the 13th minute before Riyad Mahrez equalised from the spot after Calum Chambers' handball.
Negredo was on target again with less than 20 minutes to play and Boro looked to be heading for victory, but a penalty in the last minute of added time was converted by Islam Slimani to deny Karanka's men a vital three points.
The Spaniard was unhappy after the game, and believes his team should have won after another scoreline failed to reflect their performance.
"We saw again that we are a good team," Karanka told Sky Sports. "We've played really good games, especially in the last month and again today against the team who won the league last season and have now qualified in the Champions League.
"I think we should have won the game. We showed we were better than them and I am pleased but it would have been better to win the game.
"I've known Negredo for I don't know how many years and I know how good he is, how good his work is and that one day the goals will arrive so I am really pleased for him.
"He scored two goals because the team did an amazing job. I can't say how proud I am of all of them and of the crowd because it was an important game for us."
Middlesbrough remain just one point and three places above the bottom three, and Karanka has said his side need to keep persevering to avoid an instant return to the Sky Bet Championship.
"We have to keep going," he added. "Our last five or six performances have been really good so with the ball or without it, we've showed that we can play.
"We know how to play when we couldn't play against the top teams, we are really organised so it is the way and once again the players knew it would be difficult today but this is the only way to stay in the Premier League."
