skysports.com can reveal.
The two clubs have been talking for a number of weeks and agreed a deal worth around £1.4million earlier this month.
Bailey also agreed terms with the club at the start of July, whilst he also passed a medical, before signing.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Boro, and becomes their third signing of the summer, and their second this week.
Bailey joins fellow new recruits Andrew Halliday and Kris Boyd, who signed for the club on Monday.
