Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is calling on his players to capitalise on momentum and beat Fulham on Friday night.

The Cherries head for Craven Cottage and the Sky Sports cameras just three points off the top of the Sky Bet Championship following the 2-1 win over Wolves on Tuesday that ended a five-game winless run.

"It gave everyone a boost," Howe said. "All the question marks, doubt and negativity, from our perspective, were never there.

"It doesn't mean it goes away because you have to prove yourselves every week, but it proves there's nothing wrong with this team. This group is very strong and it's up to us what we achieve.

"That inner self-belief is so important. We have to know how good we are. We have proved that because we wouldn't be where we are if we weren't a very good team."

Also looking ahead to the clash, Fulham counterpart Kit Symons said: "The performances have been decent of late certainly, so we haven't quite got the points tally I would like from those but we're very much a work in progress I think.

"That's quite evident and plain to see and there's still a lot of hard work to be done, but I'm quite happy with how the team's progressing and it's all going in the right direction."

On the possibility of fielding club captain Scott Parker, who missed the 1-0 defeat at Watford on Tuesday, Symons added: "He was exhausted after Saturday's heroics and he got a whack on his knee as well. But, that said, I would expect him to be fully fit for Friday night, touch wood."
