Korean to link-up with Latics

Cho Won-hee has been granted a work permit and will link up with Wigan's first- team squad this weekend. The 25 year-old was signed by manager Steve Bruce after impressing in a trial last month and will fly out of Korea tomorrow after tidying up a few minor details back home. Speaking to the local press, Cho is glad the move is now confirmed and could not wait to begin training with his new team-mates. "The work visa is all but confirmed. It is being sent to me from the Philippines and I will be able to leave on the 7th," said the versatile midfielder. "I don't know Steve Bruce and the team that well personally, but I'm very excited to be going there. "At the moment my English needs a bit of work, but I'll be working very hard on my lessons." The former Suwon Bluewings star will wear the number 5 jersey and is expected to be in the squad for Wigan's league clash against Sunderland on 14 March.
