Dean Henderson

Big saves at big moments, signing off most recently with a multiple goal-line stop against Norwich. A fan favourite, the on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper has gone mainstream during this campaign, helping the Blades keep 10 clean sheets and recording an impressive 75.6 save percentage, with a fifth-highest differential (4) between expected and actual goals conceded.

John Fleck

All-action midfielder, whose sweet left foot and line-breaking runs have made him a consistent attacking threat. The Blades' joint-top scorer, too. Not bad for a free transfer.

John Egan

No-nonsense, often under-the-radar defending at the heart of the Blades' back three, allowing his wide team-mates to gallop forward. Only Liverpool have conceded fewer than Sheffield United's 25 goals.

Chris Basham

Chris Basham of Sheffield United celebrates after his teams victory in the Premier League match between Sheffield United and Arsenal FC at Bramall Lane on October 21, 2019 in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

A stalwart from third tier to top flight; no Sheffield United player has made more appearances than Basham's 172 in the Wilder era. Marries full-blooded blocks and tackles with marauding forward runs and an unexpected trick or two.

George Baldock

George Baldock's superb second half strike secured the three points for the Blades

A contender for most improved player of the season? High-energy performer in the Blades' challenging wing-back role. Has played every Premier League minute so far.

Jack O'Connell

Jack O'Connell

Epitomises the Wilder way. Wins tackles, headers and races but - as one of the Blades' famed overlapping centre-backs - has caught the eye raiding down the left and spreading the play with pinpoint diagonals. Like Baldock, has played every Premier League minute so far.

Enda Stevens

Enda Stevens has committed his future to Sheffield United

Another who has taken the step up in his stride. His technical quality, threatening deliveries from the left flank and take-ons - with a nutmeg often thrown in for good measure - have made him a key creative player in Wilder's system. Ranks in the Premier League's top six defenders when it comes to chances created and expected assists.

Oliver Norwood

Oliver Norwood

Grasped his chance in the Premier League after two previous promotions to the Championship failed to bring reward. Passing range and ability to switch play makes him pivotal to the Blades' unique style. Has created more chances (40) than any other team-mate.

John Lundstram

Chris Wilder gives instructions to Sheffield United's John Lundstram

On the periphery last season but transformed as a box-to-box player in a three-man midfield this term. Four Premier goals and three assists a reminder of his value, despite the recent arrival of record signing Sander Berge.

Someone else?

Perhaps David McGoldrick, who starred in the first half of the season before injury struck, gets your vote instead for his link-up play and clever movement. Maybe you think Lys Mousset has made a vital impact, adding pace and power to the Blades frontline. Use our poll and comments section to put forward an alternative candidate...
