Blades winger cuts a loan deal

SHEFFIELD UNITED winger Adam Burley has joined Conference outfit Scarborough on loan.

Burley will spend a month on the east coast after failing to force his way into the plans of Blades boss Neil Warnock this season.

The 21-year-old will link up with The Blades' former assistant manager Russell Slade, who is now in charge at The McCain Stadium.

He is expected to thrust Burley straight into the Scarborough line-up for Saturday's meeting with Woking.

Meanwhile, Blades defender Davy Gysbrechts could be set for a return to his native Belgium with former club KV Mechelen.

Gysbrechts arrived at Bramall Lane from Lokeren in August 1999, but he has made just 19 appearances during his time in South Yorkshire.

The centre-half has not figured at all this term, although if he wants to secure a move back to Mechelen, he will have to take a pay cut.
