Charlton can't have striker back

Charlton have told Izale McLeod he cannot play for them after his loan with Millwall was terminated. McLeod was on loan to the Lions until the end of the season, but the contract was terminated by mutual consent amid reports the striker had objected to being left on the bench against Oldham on Saturday. But Charlton boss Phil Parkinson insists the Lions have acted prematurely as the terms of the loan contract mean McLeod cannot represent his side for the rest of the campaign either. "It's not totally resolved yet," Parkinson told the News Shopper. "It's all very well Millwall saying they're sending him back, but the bottom line is we can't have him back and he can't play for the reserves or first team."
