Charlton will begin life back in the Championship with a trip to St Andrew's to play Birmingham City on Saturday August 18. Three days later Chris Powell's men, who lifted the League One title last season, will host Leicester City at The Valley. Their August programme is then wrapped up with a home clash against Steve Bruce's Hull City on Saturday August 25. Over the busy festive period the Addicks travel up to Yorkshire to play Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday December 22. On Boxing Day Charlton face a home clash with Paul Jewell's Ipswich before they welcome Derby County to The Valley on Saturday December 29. They begin the New Year with a short trip north to Vicarage Road to play Watford on January 1. Local rivals Crystal Palace arrive at The Valley on September 15, with the reverse fixture on February 2. They make the short trip to Millwall on December 1 with the home fixture due to take place on March 16. In the season run-in, Charlton face a home clash with Wolves on April 20, a trip to Middlesbrough on April 27 before their season is rounded off with a home clash against Bristol City on May 4.
