Sky Sports understands Charlton have turned down an offer from Oldham for striker Leon Clarke. The 27-year-old joined the then League One side in January of this year, and was later loaned out to Crawley in March, in a deal that ran until the end of the season. Oldham boss Paul Dickov is keen to improve his striking options before the start of the new season. And the experienced Clarke fits the bill of someone that can lead the line and score goals in League One. Clarke enjoyed a brief spell on loan at Boundary Park earlier in his career where he snared three goals in five appearances. Dickov would be delighted to land a striker of Clarke's quality but Charlton have rejected a bid for his services.
