Mark Noble admits points are all that matter at moment after scoring the winner in West Ham's hard-fought 1-0 victory over Burnley on Wednesday.
The Hammers captain, normally ruthless from the spot, saw his penalty saved by Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton in first-half stoppage-time, but tapped home the rebound to relieve some of the tension inside London Stadium.
His strike ensured West Ham ended their six-match winless run in the Premier League and lifted his side up to 15th, four points clear of the relegation zone.
Ahead of another crunch home clash against fellow strugglers Hull City on Saturday, Noble insisted points rather than performances were the priority for West Ham in their current predicament.
"I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a point in the second half when we just wanted the final whistle to come," Noble said.
"We sat back. Obviously nerves came into it because we wanted the win so badly and we just tried to hit them on the counter-attack.
"When they throw balls into the box and attack balls the way they do it's hard to defend against, so the boys did great.
"The three points are massive. We've got another home game on Saturday and at this stage and given where we are, it doesn't matter how we play, but how many points we get.
"We've played a lot better than that and lost games."
