Manuel Pellegrini took charge of his first training session with West Ham United in Switzerland on Tuesday.
The Hammers squad flew out to eastern Switzerland on Monday for their pre-season regime and they have been training in Bad Ragaz, a popular spa and health resort destination in the foothills of the Swiss Alps.
Former Manchester City boss Pellegrini replaced David Moyes as West Ham manager on a three-year contract in April after leaving Chinese club Hebei China Fortune.
The 64-year-old put his players through their paces on Tuesday as they were tested in rainy conditions before completing an 11-a-side training match in preparation for their first pre-season friendly against Swiss second division side FC Winterthur on Sunday.
Among those taking part in the session were summer signings Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop, who are starting their West Ham careers after joining from Fulham and Toulouse respectively.
New goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski has not joined up with the squad yet after playing in the World Cup for Poland.
After their camp in Switzerland, West Ham will test themselves against Wycombe Wanderers, Preston North End, Aston Villa and Ipswich Town in preparation for the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.
Pellegrini's first league match in charge is a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday August 11.
