The Israeli international has now agreed terms over a new five-year deal and is expected to put pen-to-paper in the next few days.
Benayoun enjoyed a fine debut season with West Ham last term helping them reach the FA Cup final.
The tricky midfielder's displays saw him attract the interest of a host of clubs, with Liverpool and Arsenal both linked with his signature in the summer.
Benayoun insists he never considered leaving West Ham and is happy to stay at Upton Park.
"I never said I wanted to leave the club," said Benayoun.
"It is normal to have speculation in the press, and Liverpool and Arsenal are two big names, but I am happy at West Ham and I will sign a new contract in the next few days.
"Everything has been agreed and I will sign for five years.
"It shows I am very happy at the club and that the club are happy with me."
