Ruddock pens West Ham deal

West Ham United have confirmed the signing of non-league midfielder Pelly Ruddock. The 17-year-old arrives from Boreham Wood after impressing during a trial spell with the club. The box-to-box midfielder was being watched by a host of league clubs, but the Hammers concluded a deal and Ruddock admits he is delighted. "I am really excited to be here," he told West Ham TV. "I feel happy inside and I am just hoping for the best for the future. "The club's commitment to young players did attract me. It is good at West Ham because a lot of young players have come through and gone on to do good things."
