Big Sam denies Davies interest

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has rejected reports linking him with a move for Bolton forward Kevin Davies.

Bolton striker not on Allardyce's radar

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has rejected reports linking him with a move for Bolton forward Kevin Davies. Reports earlier this week claimed Davies was a transfer target for West Ham during this month's transfer window as Allardyce looks to bolster his attacking options. Bolton chief Owen Coyle has already moved to deny the rumours as he plans to keep the 34-year-old at the Reebok Stadium. Allardyce is a big admirer of Davies having signed him while he was in charge of Bolton, but he insists he has no plans to bring the player to Upton Park. "There's nothing in that as far as I'm concerned," said Allardyce. "I haven't spoken to Owen Coyle. At the moment I don't know anything about that scenario."
