Stopper wants Kille to keep game tight

Goalkeeper Cammy Bell is confident that Kilmarnock can prevent Celtic from claiming the SPL title on Saturday. The Hoops, who are a massive 18 points clear of their Old Firm rivals Rangers, require just one point to clinch their 43rd league championship at Rugby Park. But Bell, who witnessed the Gers wrap up last season's championship with a 5-1 victory at the same venue, is determined to prevent Neil Lennon's men doing the same. "We're determined to spoil it after what happened last season, we have got a lot of bad memories of that," the Scotland international said. "For us to lose another game that cost the title being won at our stadium would not be good. "The experience from last year wasn't good but the boys will take into it the game on Saturday knowing that we need to stay tight for the first half hour. "We need to keep ourselves in the game. Last season we got ourselves out the game in the first 10 minutes, which was disappointing. "As soon as Rangers went 3-0 up, everyone knew they were going to win the title. "Hopefully this season we will keep it tight in the first half and get something in the second half." Bell, 25, has already helped Killie record a shock 1-0 victory over the Hoops in the Scottish Communities League Cup final earlier this year.

Concentration

However, the shot-stopper, who has been linked with a move to West Ham, is completely focused on helping the Ayrshire club close the eight-point gap on sixth-placed Hearts. "It's nothing I know about, I just read the papers like everyone else," he admitted. "I've always said I want to go down south at some point but it needs to be the right time. "Hopefully I'll see my contract out at Kilmarnock. If not, if something happens in the summer, something happens. "But that's up to the club, they would need to sell me. "I've got another year left and I'm just concentrating on doing well next season and finishing this season strongly."
