Ruud Boffin has parted company with West Ham after having his contract with the Championship club cancelled by mutual consent.

Keeper's spell at Upton Park contained just three first-team games

Goalkeeper Ruud Boffin has parted company with West Ham after having his contract with the Championship club cancelled by mutual consent. The 24-year old Belgian joined the Hammers in September 2010 to serve as cover for regular No.1 Robert Green. However, he had very few opportunities to make an impression as he played just three games for the club. Boffin's first-team debut came in a Premier League clash at Blackburn that ended 1-1, before he made further cup appearances against Aldershot and Sheffield Wednesday. He did get plenty of action for the reserves but a decision has now been taken to allow Boffin to move on. A statement on the club's official website said: "West Ham United would like to thank Ruud for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future."
