Davinson Sanchez's red card forced Tottenham to fight for a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought game at Watford on Saturday afternoon.

Christian Kabasele headed the Hornets into an early lead before Heung-Min Son's tap-in dragged Spurs level at the break.

But Colombia defender Sanchez was then dismissed on 52 minutes for clattering Watford forward Richarlison with a high arm, and 10-man Spurs struggled for fluency thereafter as Eric Dier shifted into defence.

Mauricio Pochettino's men even survived a late penalty claim against Dier, with Watford adamant the England international had handled Richarlison's cross.

Tottenham have now won just once in their last five matches in all competitions, and have not won on the road since their 4-0 Premier League win at Huddersfield on September 30.
