Scottish midfielder commits to Hornets after injury nightmare
Watford midfielder Stephen McGinn has signed a new one-year deal at Vicarage Road with the option for a further year.
McGinn is only recently back from a cruciate knee ligament injury which kept him on the sidelines for 16 months and has yet to play a competitive game.
The 23-year-old underwent surgery after suffering the damage during a 1-1 draw with Doncaster back in February 2011.
The Scottish midfielder joined the Hornets from St Mirren in January 2010 and has notched up 38 appearances for the club.
His previous deal expired at the end of last month but he has committed to Watford on a fresh contract.
He will be looking to put his injury trouble behind him and impress new manager Gianfranco Zola this season.
