Bristol City have signed Birmingham winger David Cotterill on loan for the rest of the season.

Cotterill, who came through the youth system at the Robins, rejoins the club he left in August 2006 to sign for Wigan.

Head coach Lee Johnson told the club's official website: "The last time he was here, I was a player alongside him in the team.

"He brings Championship experience and is an excellent crosser of the ball, which is something we need.

"I know what I'm getting with David, so we're delighted to get the deal over the line."
