QPR vs Swansea preview
Friday 12 April 2019 12:25, UK
QPR interim boss John Eustace is expected to have left-back Jake Bidwell available for their Championship clash with Swansea on Saturday.
Bidwell missed the goalless draw at Millwall in midweek after he was forced off in the first half of last week's heavy 4-0 defeat at Norwich with an unspecified injury.
Midfielder Ryan Manning impressed at full-back while deputising for Bidwell and could be rewarded by moving further upfield, while centre-back Grant Hall is doubtful of returning after missing the last two matches with a groin problem. QPR sit 18th in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone with five games to play.
Bersant Celina and Mike Van Der Hoorn are in contention to return for Swansea ahead of the trip to Loftus Road. Celina missed the 3-1 midweek victory against Stoke after picking up a knock on his foot in the win over Middlesbrough by the same scoreline last weekend but the winger is set to return to the matchday squad.
Captain Van Der Hoorn completed the full 90 minutes and scored the side's second goal against the Potters and has recovered from a minor groin problem to retain his place in the heart of defence. Head coach Graham Potter is hopeful of having midfielder Leroy Fer back in training next week, however, goalkeeper Erwin Mulder (broken finger) and left-back Martin Olsson (Achilles) remain on the sidelines.
