Blackpool have appointed Ian Holloway as their new manager. As revealed by skysports.com Blackpool have decided to go for Holloway as their new boss for next season Holloway has signed a one-year deal with the option for another year after impressed the Blackpool hierarchy during the interview process. The former Plymouth and QPR boss is believed to have seen off the interest from a number of other candidates to secure the role at Bloomfield Road. Hollway replaces caretaker boss Tony Parkes at Blackpool following his decision to leave the Championship club earlier this week. Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston was deighted to name Holloway as the club's new boss. "We are delighted to be able to welcome a manager of Ian's calibre to Bloomfield Road," Oyston told the club's official website. "He is a very professional and thorough person who ticked all the boxes and who has an excellent track record, and he is hungry to take the club forward."
