Striker agrees loan switch

Peterborough United have sealed the loan signing of Izale McLeod from Charlton Athletic. Skysports.com broke the news of Peterborough interest in McLeod - who had also attracted interest from SPL side Hearts. But now he has signed for the Posh on loan until the end of the season and has joined them ahead of the training camp in Tenerife. Also on the plane to Tenerife are fellow new loan signings Jake Livermore and Reuben Reid, together with trialist Aaron Greene. The 19-year-old striker is available on a free transfer from Galway United as he was on amateur forms. He was set to join Dundee United until Craig Levein's departure and now Peterborough have stepped in to take him on trial. Whilst there are four new faces in Posh's squad for the trip to Tenerife, striker Aaron McLean has not travelled. The highly-rated front-man is keen to secure a move away from London Road and is on the transfer list. Another player not making the trip is defender Danny Blanchett - who has signed for AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season.
