Skysports.combroke the news of Peterborough interest in McLeod - who had also attracted interest from SPL side Hearts.
But now he has signed for the Posh on loan until the end of the season and has joined them ahead of the training camp in Tenerife.
Also on the plane to Tenerife are fellow new loan signings Jake Livermore and Reuben Reid, together with trialist Aaron Greene.
The 19-year-old striker is available on a free transfer from Galway United as he was on amateur forms.
