Grayson believes players needed time to recharge their batteries

Leeds boss Simon Grayson has admitted the international break came at a good time for his players, following a demanding fixture list. The Whites moved to seventh in the Championship table with a 1-0 win at Leicester last time out, with only goal difference keeping them out of the play-off places. Grayson believes the current break was needed for his players to recover and build on their recent success, having lost only two of their last eight games. He said: "Over the last few weeks the players have really been playing to the maximum in terms of the effort they have put in. "We played a large part of the Blackpool game with 10 men and there was a huge effort at Leicester so it's come at a good time. "They trained at the back end of last week, had the weekend off because they needed a breather, and then the build-up to Burnley started on Monday morning. "Some of the lads have been away and others have had chance to rest tired bodies and recover from niggles which have built up over the past few weeks."
