Defender building up strong reputation in Championship
Premier League target James Chester admits he could turn down a move to the top flight because he wants to get there with Hull City instead.
Everton and Bolton are said to be following the former Manchester United youngster and reports suggest a bid of around £2million could be tabled in January for the centre-back.
However, the 22-year-old says he is in no hurry to quit the Tigers as he helps the club push for promotion in his ever-present season for Nick Barmby's outfit where he is also fast building a reputation for being one of the strongest centre-backs outside of the Premier League.
Flattering
"It is flattering to be linked with Premier League clubs but it is not something I'll get carried away with," the former Red Devils defender told the
Daily Star.
"But for me, the perfect scenario would be to get there with Hull because I am very happy with life here."
A win against strugglers Burnley on Saturday could further boost Hull's push for the footballing summit in England.
"If we continue to believe in ourselves and keep up the good work, we can really do something in this division," added Chester.
