Foxes keen on Red Devils midfielder

Sky Sports understands that Leicester are lining up a move for Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater. The 21-year-old is currently on loan at the Foxes' Championship rivals Barnsley. Having been unable to force his way into Sir Alex Ferguson's first-team plans at Old Trafford, Drinkwater has had to look elsewhere for regular games. In recent seasons he has taken in loan spells at Huddersfield, Cardiff and Watford. He has more than held his own in the second tier, with a number of assured displays drawing plenty of admiring glances. Leicester are among those to have closely monitored his progress and they are set to launch a raid for his services. United are understood to be willing to listen to offers, and the Foxes are prepared to put money on the table. The Red Devils will cut short Drinkwater's time with the Tykes should headway be made in negotiations with Leicester.
