Sky Blues boss to miss Leicester game due to a virus
Coventry City have confirmed manager Andy Thorn will miss Saturday's local derby against Leicester City after being diagnosed with a virus.
Thorn, who is close to celebrating 12 months in charge at the Ricoh Arena, was taken to hospital after training on Thursday before later being released.
He has been advised to rest and the Sky Blues have confirmed that first-team coach Steve Harrison will be in charge for the weekend's game at Leicester.
Chief executive Tim Fisher told the club's
official website: "Andy has been released from hospital and is currently resting. We have been speaking to him, his family and his medical staff on a regular basis.
"The over-riding priority is his health and wellbeing. Everyone at the club wishes him well and we ask that he can be left in peace for the next few days.
"Steve Harrison will be in charge of team affairs at Leicester."
Coventry are currently three points adrift of safety, but have the worst away record in the Championship, having failed to win on their travels this season.
