Midfielder feels Leeds have a chance of getting to the Premier League

Adam Clayton is keen to agree a new contract at Leeds United before he heads off on his summer holidays. The midfielder has 12 months remaining on his current deal at Elland Road and he has been a virtual ever-present this season. He has made 46 appearances in all competitions and has steadily established himself as a key member of the team since his 2010 arrival from Manchester City. Clayton revealed earlier this month that he is optimistic of extending his stay at the club and is aiming for a swift resolution following the end of Leeds' campaign. "I hope we can sort it out before the summer, get it done and then go away, relax and come back nice and refreshed for next year," the 23-year-old told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "For me to leave now when I think about next season...we've got a massive chance of getting into the Premier League and getting there with a club like Leeds would be better than getting there with a different team."
