Top-scorer in England ready to move
Sky Sports understands that a clutch of clubs are battling to sign non-league ace Damien Reeves - who is the top-scorer in English football.
26-year-old Reeves enjoyed a prolific campaign in the Conference North as he bagged 44 league goals for Altrincham.
With his contract at Moss Lane due to expire in the summer he is ready to take the step into professional football.
Reeves began his career as a trainee with Leeds before a broken leg hampered his progress and he dropped into non-league with Farsley Celtic.
Spells with Histon, Northwich Victoria and Alfreton have followed before he joined Altrincham, where he has shone.
Now a number of clubs are ready to offer him the chance to move into the Football League, while teams in Scotland are also keen.
Sky Sports understands Doncaster Rovers, Stevenage, Oldham, Tranmere and Kilmarnock are among those ready to make a move.
"There is a lot of interest in Damien at the moment," said Darren Bossons of World in Motion.
"We can't name clubs but we are talking about him stepping up to the Football League - which we are confident he has the ability and attitude to do."
