Sky Bet Championship: Mick McCarthy praises Tyrone Mings after win over Brighton

Mick McCarthy praised the performance of Tyrone Mings after the left-back played a pivotal role in Ipswich's 2-0 home win over Brighton.
It was Town's second straight win at Portman Road in four days and it came courtesy of Jonathan Parr's 79th minute opener and a late strike from Daryl Murphy.
But it was Mings who caught the eye to once again show why he was courted by Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day.
McCarthy quickly dashed a £3million bid from the Premier League side despite signing Mings for just £10,000 from Chippenham Town 18 months ago.
The Town boss said: "Tyrone showed why I wanted him in my team, why I wanted him at this club, and why he wasn't for sale.
"He wasn't going anywhere and no amount of euros or pounds was going to make a difference.
"We picked him up from relative obscurity and helped him become a player. Now I want him to help us become a good team."
He added: "It has been a good few days and a good haul from two home games."
An entertaining match was finally settled with two goals for the hosts in the final 11 minutes.
Parr was the unlikely man to break the deadlock when he was on hand to bundle the ball home after Jay Tabb's shot was blocked by Brighton goalkeeper David Stockdale.
The chance owed much to the tenacity of Mings down the left who linked up incisively with substitute Alex Henshall.
He played an equally important part in the second as his long ball down the line was seized upon by Murphy who opted to shoot first time rather than take it to the corner.
The finish was sublime, nestling in the bottom corner, although Stockdale might look at his own role after being caught cold by the strike.
After a match that saw Ipswich keeper Dean Gerken make a series of excellent saves, in particular to thwart Sam Baldock and Lewis Dunk either side of the break, Brighton boss Sami Hyypia refused to push the panic button.
Hyypia said: "I am not too unhappy about the performance but of course I am unhappy that we lost - I want to win every game.
"The players want to win games but that time will come. We have to be patient and work hard in everything we do.
"We need to get some points but the league position doesn't really matter at the moment. But I know we are already a bit behind and we can't fall too behind."
