Robbie Keane is interested in reuniting with Harry Redknapp at Birmingham City, Sky sources understand.
Redknapp confirmed Birmingham have not yet made an offer to Keane, who is out of contract after leaving LA Galaxy, but last week said he "would not want to be a liar" and deny interest, insisting the forward is a player "you would love to have around your club".
Keane, who played under Redknapp at Tottenham Hotspur, is aware of the Birmingham manager's comments and believes he could offer something to the Sky Bet Championship club.
The 36-year-old has been training with Shamrock Rovers in Ireland but spoke to Redknapp when the pair took part in Michael Carrick's testimonial last month.
The all-time record Republic of Ireland goalscorer is confident he still has one big move left.
Keane began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, and his last spell in English football was a loan spell with Birmingham's rivals Aston Villa in 2012.
