North End land Miller

Preston have moved to bolster their ranks with the loan capture of Sunderland midfielder Tommy Miller. The former Ipswich schemer was strongly linked with a return to Portman Road but it is Preston who have moved swiftest to land the 27-year-old.
Following Roy Keane's appointment at The Stadium of Light, Miller has fallen way down the Irishman's midfield pecking order and as a consequence, was eager for a move to ensure greater playing time.
Miller moves to Deepdale until January 1 and his new manager Paul Simpson is hopeful that his stay in the North West turns out to be a more permanent arrangement.
"Delighted, he's a player I have always liked," Simpson told the club's official website.
"He's a goalscoring midfielder, different to what we already have. He has had a bit of a tough time up at Sunderland with the change of management and it has become quite clear that he is not in the new manager's plans.
"We're delighted he is coming to us, we have got him until the beginning of January, we'll have a look at him and hopefully he's someone we can keep long term."
