Defender ready for Clarets clash

Preston defender Wayne Brown is hoping to make his debut in Saturday's trip to derby rivals Burnley. The centre-back has yet to make his first competitive appearance since joining North End on a free transfer from Leicester in the summer. He tore a calf muscle during pre-season training and has been a frustrated spectator in the stand since. "I trained all last week and should get another week's training under my belt," said Brown. "I might be lacking match practice but the only way you get that is by playing games. "It's been a frustrating time for me so far but I'm feeling good and would love to play some part on Saturday against Burnley."
