Former Blackburn chief considers return

Skysports.com understands that Paul Ince has already emerged as a leading candidate for the Preston North End job. The England midfield legend has been out of work since leaving Notts County earlier this year. But now skysports.com understands that Ince is ready to return and a move to Deepdale is believed to appeal. Preston confirmed the sacking of Phil Brown on Wednesday, and are already scouring the market for his replacement. But few would come with Ince's CV and he is believed to be on the list being considered by new Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale. Former Preston chief Billy Davies has also been strongly linked with a return to Deepdale.
