Saido Berahino will not be leaving West Brom in the January transfer window, according to Sky sources.

It is understood that both Tottenham and Newcastle have been interested in a deal for the striker, but sources have told Sky Sports News HQ that Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace will not sanction a sale this month.

He rejected four bids from Spurs last summer, which led to Berahino threatening to strike, but the Midlands club have not received any offers during the current winter window.

England U21 international Berahino has also not started a game for the Baggies since October.

After netting 20 times last season, he has scored just four this season, three in the Premier League and the last which came against Sunderland on October 17.
