West Brom's chairman John Williams dismisses claims that Tony Pulis will leave the club

Sky Sports News understand that contrary to speculation, Tony Pulis will not be leaving West Brom.

Newspaper reports on Friday morning suggested the Albion head coach was considering his future with the Premier League club after a frustrating transfer window.

Hal Robson-Kanu arrived on a free transfer along Allan Nyom from Watford for £4m on transfer deadline day, joining fellow new recruits Nacer Chadli, Matt Phillips and Brendan Galloway.

However, Pulis, who took charge of West Brom in January 2015 and kept the club in Premier League, was reportedly left frustrated at not being able to strengthen his side further.

Speculation of a rift between Pulis and the Albion board intensified after chairman John Williams issued a statement on Thursday defending the club's record in the summer window and claiming a deal which would have broken their transfer record was ruled out for 'footballing reasons".

During the window Albion, who spent £22.5m - the fifth lowest in the Premier League - saw Rickie Lambert and Cristian Gamboa leave for Cardiff and Celtic respectively while Sebastien Pocognoli joined Brighton on loan.
