Norwich City will wrap up the signing of Leon Barnett on a permanent deal in the January window.
The 25-year-old defender will join the Canaries on a three-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Barnett made the loan switch in August from West Brom where he had fallen down the pecking order, having joined the club from Luton for £2.5million in July 2007.
He had previously spent the last six months of last season on loan at Coventry.
Colossal
His contract at the Hawthorns was due to expire next June, which has prompted the Midlands outfit to cash in now, rather than lose the defender on a free transfer.
Barnett has played a prominent role in Paul Lambert's side and his accomplished displays have helped them climb up to fourth in the Championship.
Norwich manager Lambert said: "Leon has been colossal for us and has become a fans' favourite.
"I don't think anyone can say that he hasn't given everything he's got and I'm delighted he will join us permanently."
