Midfielder hoping to stay at the Hawthorns

Somen Tchoyi hopes he can use his hat-trick heroics against Newcastle as the launch pad to regular first-team action at West Brom. The Cameroon midfielder salvaged Albion's trip to St James' Park on Sunday when he hit three second-half goals to seal a 3-3 draw and crown a remarkable comeback. After featuring largely off the bench for Roy Hodgson's side this season, 28-year-old Tchoyi hopes he will be given more opportunities next term. He told the club's official website: "I have talked with the coach because of course, I'm not happy as I need more time on the pitch. "My plan is to stay with Albion and see what happens, and I hope I get more time to play. That is my plan. "The gaffer just told me to keep training as a professional and keep hoping my chance will come, and that's what I will do. "It is my first hat-trick and I'm very proud of it. I do it in training, but this is my first professional hat-trick. He added: "I was leaving the pitch and straight away, Chris Brunt told me I needed to get the ball. "The boys have all signed it for me and I will keep it for good memories. I am still the same Somen Tchoyi. It doesn't make me different."
