Wolves manager Kenny Jackett has his sights firmly set on getting the side into the promotion race after seeing them pick up a point in 0-0 Sky Bet Championship stalemate against high-flying Burnley at Molineux.

Wolves had lost four of their previous five games but impressed in the second half against Burnley when a late flurry could have seen them take all three points.

They are currently nine points adrift of the top six, and Jackett said: "We want to be picking up points consistently to achieve our ambition of climbing up the table.

"I think it is an open division and I do feel that we can get going. There is enough of the season still to come and we have to work very hard as a team and a club to find the solution and find the equation that is going to win on a regular basis."

Jackett was pleased with the display against the Clarets and he added: "I felt we started quite nervously and Burnley had their best chance in that period.

"As the game wore on we grew in confidence and had a good pattern about us. While are are frustrated with a 0-0 draw, a lot of our play going forward was very constructive."

Burnley went into the game on the back of five wins from their previous six games but struggled to find that form against Wolves and toiled after striker Andre Gray, who had scored seven goals in his previous six appearances, saw two early chances saved by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Wolves finished the game at a frantic pace with Benik Afobe, Dave Edwards and James Henry all going close.

Despite having to settle for a share of the spoils, Burnley manager Sean Dyche was delighted to extend the team's unbeaten run to seven games and the way that their season is progressing.

He said: "I am very happy with a point, you always want all three but the way that the game panned out we certainly deserved a point but probably no more on the reflection of the game other than that we had two chances inside the first first minutes.

"One of them was a glorious chance and if that goes in it changes the whole aspect of the game.

"Wolves built a bit of momentum as the game went on but Tom Heaton has come away without having to make a serious save which is very pleasing from our point of view.

"It is hard week on week out to constantly produce. We have done that very well which is why we are where we are in the table.

"It is still early yet. As managers we don't just throw that out to dampen any mood. We are 15 games in, a third of the season and a lot can happen in the rest of the season.

"We are going very well and I am enjoying what we are doing, how the team is coming together and we have got lots of good points on the board."
