Kenny Jackett insists Wolves are proving their worth after he was crowned Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month.
The Molineux boss guided his team to four wins from five games after promotion from League One last season.
They beat Norwich, Blackburn and Cardiff at home while also won at Fulham with their only defeat a 1-0 loss at Rotherham.
He maintained their momentum after a title-winning campaign last season saw them claim a record 103 points.
"It was a good feeling to win it last year and starting this season by winning Manager of the Month is terrific, it shows that the club and myself have been doing something right," he said.
"It shows we had a good August, that's the main thing. You want to start well, August is an important month and hopefully we can build on it now.
"I'm very, very pleased. I'm pleased for the club and pleased for myself definitely."
Jackett beat Stuart Pearce, Neil Adams and Ian Holloway to the award after taking Wolves third in the early table ahead of September fixtures against Blackpool, Charlton, Bolton and Reading.
"It must be difficult to choose, perhaps standard of the opposition and those things come into it," he told the club's official site.
