Bees buzzing after Premiership swoop
BRENTFORD have made a raid on The Premiership, snapping up teenage striker Mark Peters from Southampton.
The youngster, who signed professional forms with Southampton in October 2000, has failed to make a lasting impression on Saints boss Gordon Strachan and has been allowed to move to Griffin Park.
Bees boss Steve Coppell (pictured) acted swiftly when made aware the youngster was available, with the forward putting his name to a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 19-year-old, who came through Southampton`s academy, is viewed as a long-term prospect, with Strachan allowing him to leave on a free but insisting on a sell-on clause in the deal.
