Ibrahim Afellay's contract with Stoke City has been terminated by mutual consent.
The 32-year-old had six months left on his deal at the bet365 Stadium but is now free to join another club after parting ways with the Potters.
Afellay initially joined Stoke on a two-year deal in 2015 after being released by Barcelona.
The former Netherlands international went on to make 55 appearances for the Potters over the course of three-and-a-half seasons.
However, he leaves the club without making a senior appearance this season.
A statement released by Stoke read: "The Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Ibrahim for his efforts and wish him well in the future."
