Keiren Westwood has signed a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday that ties him to the club until the summer of 2019.

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper has been at Hillsborough since 2014 when he joined the club after being released by Sunderland.

He originally signed a two-year deal but extended that last September through to the end of the 2017-18 campaign, meaning his new deal is a further one-year extension.

Westwood was named in the Sky Bet Championship team of the year in 2014-15 and also completed a clean sweep of the club's player of the year awards.
