Carlos Carvalhal’s £20 note is still intact after the Sheffield Wednesday head coach’s astonishing outburst in his post-match press conference last weekend.
Following a crushing 4-2 defeat to city rivals Sheffield United, Carvalhal whipped out a £20 note from his pocket before launching into a bizarre rant at reporters.
The 51-year-old crushed the note in his hand and repeatedly asked the assembled media what it was before pounding the table with his fist in what looked like a staunch defence of his side's quality despite their loss to the Blades.
And the Wednesday head coach brought what appeared to be the same £20 note with him for his post-match interview with Sky Sports after Gary Hooper's double and Kieran Lee's strike gave them a 3-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Leeds on Sunday.
