Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Stockport
Saturday 19 September 2026 17:58, UK
Sheffield Wednesday and Stockport fought out a goalless draw in a game lacking in clear-cut chances.
Ryan Glover hit the woodwork for County, with Harry Wood and Jack Diamond also having good opportunities.
Stockport threatened to score early on with Wood wasting a great chance, blazing his shot over from a great position after goalkeeper Joe Lumley palmed the ball into his path.
In a half dominated by the visitors, Glover hit a post with a header from Ben Osborn's cross, with Diamond's follow-up blocked.

Mason Burstow had Wednesday's solitary first-half effort on goal, a header which was comfortably saved by Oliver Whatmuff.
Substitute Harry Gray tried his luck soon after coming on with a shot from distance which was on target but straight at Whatmuff.
At the other end, Jason Adigun shot wide of Lumley's left-hand post and Glover headed just over.
It was a lacklustre performance from the Owls, who failed to carve out any real opportunities of note.
