Plymouth have sacked Derek Adams as first-team manager of the relegation-threatened League One club with just one game left of the season.
The Pilgrims were thrashed 5-1 by Accrington Stanley on Saturday - their fifth successive league defeat - to leave them in the bottom four on goal difference.
Plymouth host Scunthorpe, who are also battling for survival in the relegation zone, on the final day of the league campaign.
Assistant manager Paul Wotton has also been sacked.
A club statement read: "The club would like to place on record its sincere gratitude to Derek, not only for his hard work and dedication in his management of the team, but also for his wider input into the club during four challenging and often exciting seasons."
Kevin Nancekivell will take charge of the team for the clash with Scunthorpe at Home Park.
