McCormick joins Boston
Plymouth's Luke McCormick has joined Boston United on a month's loan.
Plymouth goalkeeper Luke McCormick has joined League Two outfit Boston United on a month's loan. The talented custodian has inked a short-term deal with Steve Evans' promotion chasers and will replace injured regular number one Nathan Abbey.
McCormick has been unfortunate to lose his place this term to Romain Larrieu, having been runner-up in the supporters' player of the year poll last season.
The player's agent, Clive Hart, has told skysports.com that his client is pleased to be playing first-team football but that there has been no talk of a permanent switch.
''It's certainly not in the player's mind, or Plymouth's, for a permanent deal,'' Hart told skysports.com.
''It's just a bog standard loan-deal.
''Bobby Williamson will tell you Luke was very unfortunate to lose his place, as was the goalkeeper whom Luke replaced.
''They're both good goalkeepers. I wouldn't compare it to Shilton-Clemence, but he will go back to fight for his place.''
