Alan Pardew bemoans Crystal Palace fortune after Tottenham defeat

Alan Pardew thinks Crystal Palace "did not do much wrong" against Tottenham and said Hugo Lloris was the key man in Spurs' 3-1 victory.
A first-half own goal from Jan Vertonghen gave Palace the lead at Selhurst Park but they could not hold out as Harry Kane equalised in the 63rd minute.
Scott Dann and Mile Jedinak both hit the bar for the Eagles before Dele Alli and Nacer Chadli scored brilliant individual goals to secure victory for the visitors.
"We can't do more than we did today, sometimes the gods are with you, today they weren't," said Pardew, whose side have not won in the Premier League since December 19.
"We had better chances but hit the bar and found their goalie on top of his game; we haven't done much wrong.
"We pushed and came up against a good side with good individuals and those individual talents won them the game in the end with a couple of special moments."
The defeat continues a miserable run of form for Palace, who did at least manage to end their goal drought by scoring for the first time in over eight hours.
"On another day we could have won the game but it got away from us," said Pardew. "We would not have lost this game if it wasn't for their goalkeeper, he was their best player.
"We contained them, took the lead and they didn't have many clear-cut chances. It was a good effort but not enough."
While Lloris made a couple of fine stops for Spurs, Pardew was also impressed by Palace 'keeper Wayne Hennessey, whose place was under threat after a couple of costly errors in his last two matches.
"The goalie was terrific and that was important because he had made a couple of mistakes," said Pardew. "He will feel a lot more confident. The next run of games is very important to our season, we need a win, however it comes, that's what we will try to do."
