Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew will attempt to sign John Terry if the Chelsea captain becomes a free agent in the summer.
Terry revealed on Sunday that he will not be offered a new deal by Chelsea and appears set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old insisted he could not bring himself to play for another club in the Premier League and will instead look to move abroad to continue his playing career.
Pardew, however, has not been put off by the declaration and claims he intends to try to convince the former England captain to join him at Selhurst Park next season.
"I've bumped into John Terry on occasion and asked him many times to join me,' Pardew said. "He always sniggers at the suggestion.
"Of course I will ask one more time. I'm sure I'll bump into him again and ask the question."
Pardew expects there to be plenty of suitors for Terry and believes the Chelsea skipper will still have plenty to offer any club he joins.
The Palace manager added: "He's got a winning mentality that anyone would want. I've seen his comments about leaving Chelsea and he's probably called it right.
"He'll have plenty of options, MLS, Gary Neville has gone to Spain, and there's China.
"He's got now until the summer to decide the right move for him and his family."
