Roy Hodgson has praised Crystal Palace's desire to finish the Premier League season with a third consecutive victory after beating West Brom 2-0 on Sunday.
At the start of the season, Palace were facing the threat of relegation after seven consecutive defeats, but they finished the term with a flourish by winning their last three matches to finish 11th.
Reflecting on the turnaround, Hodgson says he is delighted with his players' determination to keep going until the very end.
"I'm really proud of the players," he told Sky Sports.
"We've been safe for two games. And now to win all three is a fantastic achievement. We haven't won three games on the spin during the rest of the season and to be honest and when you're one of the teams in the bottom half of the table you don't win three games on the spin, so great credit to the players.
"They could have played at a lower tempo, played a bit of keep-ball and drifted to a draw or a defeat but we didn't do that.
"We showed we wanted to win the game and I'm delighted for the players and the fans.
"It's a great way to finish the season. Home game and a victory. It's a really nice end to what's been a topsy-turvy season for us."
West Brom's defeat was their first under caretaker manager Moore, and Hodgson has backed him to be a success there should he be appointed permanently.
He added: "He's a West Brom person. He's from that part of the world. He's played for the club and worked there in a junior capacity when I was there.
"I can't praise him highly enough for the work he and his staff have done. I'm pretty certain he mustn't have done his cause any harm with the way his team has played and the points they've picked up."
